Why am I Always Cold?
Foods that improve blood circulation
- pepper (chili): stimulates blood flow. Better used as seasonings, as they can traumatize the stomach.
- Germinated wheat grains, whole-grain bread, seeds, and nuts: contain Vitamin E, strengthen vessel walls, and can be added to cereals, yogurt and salads.
- Garlic: can be consumed in any form. One particle of garlic lowers cholesterol levels and consequently lowers blood pressure and prevents thrombus formation.
- Meat, fish, and turkey: they are the most reliable suppliers of digestible iron. Iron raises the red blood cell count, preventing loss of warmth. Fat fish, for instance, mackerel or herring, contain “good” cholesterol, clearing fat layers from vessel walls and improving blood flow. It is necessary to eat fish no less than once a week.
- Ginger: “pushes” the blood to capillaries and to the skin surface. If you are out of ginger root, prepare strong extract and add it to soups, and fried or stewed meat. Grated ginger root can be added to Asian food dishes (sauces for noodles and rice) and to baked poultry.
Ginkgo biloba extract: natural medicine on the basis of ginkgo biloba extract protecting cells and tissues from injuries caused by free radicals, normalizes vessels’ tone, improves microcirculation and hematosis.
