HOW YOUR TONGUE CAN REVEAL YOUR HEALTH

  • Liver and gallbladder disturbance: fur is yellow.

Color strength is defined by the difficulty of the process taking place

    in the body.

  • Bowel disturbance: flatness of papillae and formation

of a glossy red spot in the center of a tongue.

A total purge of your tongue

  • You

can remove the fur with the help of a special brush

or a scraper or a common toothbrush.

  • Purge your tongue after you’ve brushed your teeth and rinsed

your mouth. You can remove fur and slime with sweeping motions

from the root to the front end. Special attention to tongue purging

should be paid by people who have a folded or “geographical”

tongue – there are deep furrows and folds on the surface

of such a tongue and the fur usually accumulates there.

  • You can purge your tongue with toothpaste or without it. The brush

should be moist – a dry one can scratch your

    tongue.

    ! Remember:

coming near the root can provoke the vomit reflex. This especially concerns

smokers. Gradually become accustomed to this procedure.

  • After doing several motions, wash your brush. The first time, do not

use toothpaste (as toothpaste getting into the gullet can also provoke

the vomit reflex). Try not to use strong, foamy pastes.

  • For a tongue purge, there are different accessories

made out of metal or plastic in the form of an arc with bunches of bristles

    equally situated along the arc.

  • Dental rinses are used for dental deposit softening,

but not for its removal. These can be used as additional means of dental

    hygiene.

  • After purging your tongue 3-5 times, you will notice the feeling of

freshness and comfort in your mouth

and your gustatory senses will improve.

Help! A heat-spot on my tongue!

A fur on the tongue is not everything!

Many people know the unpleasant feeling of having a little heat-spot

on the tongue. The tongue begins burning from sour, spicy or very hot

food. It reddens and swells. In cases when inflammation is only on the

tongue, it is named glossitis. But if there is a deep

trauma of the tongue, then a person can get suppurative inflammation

in the muscles with an edema and a swallowing disturbance. This is called

    an abscess.

What should you do if you notice something wrong? Don't panic, but go

to a dentist. He will advise you about what to do. In some cases, you

may be able to manage this problem at home. For example, if you have

a heat-spot on your tongue, you can reduce the pain

by rinsing your mouth with a hydrogen peroxide solution

(one teaspoon of solution in a glass of water), a pink solution of permanganat

of potassium or a warm broth of camomile or sage.
