Avoiding a Post-divorce Crisis
it has come to an end. Mostly like, you will part again. But it’s
advisable to save the friendship. A person who attracted you one day and
became so close to you during your life together may be a good friend
who can always help and support you.
Five steps to happiness.
The TV program “The Ex-Wives Club” (on TNT) can help women
get through divorce. Together with the stars, they help women who’ve
been left get rid of their complexes and become more confident. Mary Stevenson
was among these women. Our heroine’s story:
Mary and John met seven years ago. At first, everything was all right.
They were happy, deriving pleasure from their quiet family life. But then
everything changed. Mary learned that her husband was unfaithful to her
with his boss. At first, she treated it quietly. She thought that all
men are unfaithful. But then her husband left for New York with his boss
for business (they lived in Chicago). Once he called Mary and asked her
to come to him. She left for New York and found a job in the capital,
but her private life didn’t work out. Her husband divided his time
between the two women. Mary was patient, as she believed that he would
choose her. But when John began to spend nights at his mistress’
place, she said that their relationship was over and asked her husband
to take his things and leave. But Oleg didn’t take everything away.
Mary wanted to throw away all his shirts and to break the plates they
had eaten together from.
Now Mary wants to forget all the bad things and to change outside
and inside.
The club acts.
The stars of the TV show formulated a plan for helping Mary:
Step 1. First, they helped her to get rid
of the things that reminded her of her ex-husband.
Step 2. The stars took her to a shop where,
with the help of a stylist, they chose smart, new clothes for her. Then
they went to the beauty salon where they helped Mary to change her image.
Step 3. They changed everything in Mary’s
apartment so that nothing could remind her of her husband. Then the stars
suddenly surprised her. They found her brother, whom she hadn’t
seen in ages, and invited him to her place.
Step 4. They took Mary to the shooting gallery,
taught her to shoot and, as a target, they put out a tea set that reminded
her of the unpleasant events of her previous life.
Step 5. They dressed our heroine in an evening
dress and, in a restaurant, arranged a rendezvous with “a nice prince,”
gallant and handsome. They drank martinis, danced and talked about her
hobby, photography. Finally, Mary felt beautiful and sexy.
Step 6. Mary met her ex-husband and, for the
first time in quite a few months, they could talk quietly. Mary stopped
relying on the past.
